Those who know me, knows well my passion for underwater and diving. I wanted to share an adventure I experienced while on a diving tour in Egypt ( 2015 ).
They took us to a place in the middle of the open water called Dolphin Bay, where dolphins go to find a mate. Dolphins used to play various games and dance here to flirt with potential mates. One day during the trip, our boat, like many boats of other travelling companies, sailed to this famous area, so that we all could swim/dive with the dolphins.
Hundreds of people were swimming in the bay, following dolphins to touch them. Dolphins ran away as people came towards them, disappeared in an instant, and reappeared on the surface far away. I wanted to swim with them calmly and I was repeatedly thinking in my mind“I would not disturb you, I just wanted to swim with you and watch you”. Suddenly they came towards me and started swimming and dancing around me.
As people came ( or let’s say chased ), they were again running away. I followed my inner feelings and swam to an irrelevant point and they were coming back near me again. I do not remember how long this lasted. I lost the concept of time because I was fascinated by the dances of the dolphins. When I heard someone coming to me and calling my name, I looked up and realized that I was the only one standing in the open sea and my friends were already on the boat and looking for me.
It was an amazing experience!!! The urge to communicate with them was becoming more and more inflamed inside me…
